The Four Main Materials of Lithium Batteries

The composition of lithium battery materials mainly includes positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials, separators, and electrolytes.

1. Cathode materials: among lithium cathode materials, the most commonly used materials are lithium cobalate, lithium manganate, Lithium iron phosphate and ternary materials (nickel cobalt manganese polymer).

2. Negative electrode materials: Currently, natural graphite and artificial graphite are the main negative electrode materials for lithium batteries. The negative electrode materials being explored include nitrides, PAS, tin based oxides, tin alloys, nano negative electrode materials, and other intermetallic compounds.

3. Diaphragm: The market-oriented diaphragm materials are mainly polyolefin type diaphragms based on polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). In the structure of lithium batteries, the separator is one of the key inner components.

4. Electrolyte: Electrolyte is prepared from high-purity organic solvents, lithium salts of electrolytes, necessary additives, and other raw materials under certain conditions and in a certain proportion.
